Terms and Conditions

The Contract

Once we receive an order via this web site, an offer to purchase is constituted on the part of the customer. Only when we confirm the order via email communication to the customer, shall a contract exist between us and the customer. Prices provided in a written quotation to the customer from us as a result of an inquiry to this web site shall be valid for 30 days from the dispatch date of the written quotation.

Shipping and delivery

Standard delivery is next day throughout England, Wales, Southern Scotland excluding G84, up to, and including postcodes (AB10-25, 30, 32 and 39 – 43, PH1 – 18 and PA1 – 19). If goods are delivered to an incorrect address as a result of incorrect information provided by the customer we will not take responsibility and the customer will pay for the cost of replacement goods and the cost of delivering the replacement goods to the correct address. All deliveries outside of the UK will be sent by a CGS nominated courier unless an agreement is made for alternative arrangements. Transit times to be advised on recepit of order.

Breakages

The customer will be responsible for checking their goods upon receipt of delivery. Should there be any defect or shortage in the order, to prevent fraudulent damage claims, we would ask that you make us aware of a problem within 24 hours of receipt of delivery either by email or telephone. Breakages, defects and shortage, reported later than this will not be entered into.

Delivery schedule

Delivery of goods is made by courier. We endeavour to dispatch your item(s) the same working day as receiving your order. When payment is made by credit or debit card, in most cases your item will arrive the next day (see Shipping and Delivery section for further details). Deliveries by carrier are not made on Saturdays, Sundays, or Bank Holidays.

Cancellation rights

Under the Distance Selling Regulations, UK consumers have the legal right to cancel their order within seven working days of receipt of the goods. Where goods are delivered to a third party you will only be able to exercise this right if you are able to return to us the goods you ordered.

Returns Policy

Should you wish to return your purchase under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have seven working days from receipt to advise us that you wish to do so. You should do this by e-mail, fax or post at the addresses stated on our contact us page, whereupon we will arrange for collection. We will not accept return of goods unless they have been authorised.

When you are returning your purchase, you should return them to us with proof of purchase (receipt or delivery notes). We are unable to accept any responsibility for returning items which are lost or damaged in the post. You must ensure that your items are securely packaged, and obtain a proof of posting. You should allow 14 days to receive your exchange/refund. If unopened, unused and in original packaging no charge will be made for return. If the product has been removed from its packaging we expect the customer to keep the product wrapped and in good order. Products will remain your responsibility until we receive them, upon receipt we will refund you any payment that you are entitled to using your original payment method where appropriate.

Liability limitation

We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by us or their employees or agents in circumstances where:

  • loss or damage was not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was formed;
  • loss or damage was not caused by any breach on the part of the supplier;
  • loss or damage relates to business and/or non-consumers.

We will not be liable for loss or damage caused by the customer handling the item.

Purchasing

We accept orders both online and by telephone.

When you want to make a purchase, browse our catalogue, add them to the shopping basket and click to go to the checkout. After you have provided card and address details in order to satisfy the order, the card details are security checked with the relevant card issuer and you will receive a message in your browser window advising that the transaction is complete.

The contract between us comes into force when we confirm your order by email communication.

Prices include VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable. Prices are subject to change in line with currency movements, tax and changes, changes in supply and transportation costs or for any other reason. We will normally absorb minor fluctuations in costs. In the event of significant price alterations, which would result in extra cost to you the customer, we will of course contact you.

We accept payment by Mastercard, Visa, Solo and Maestro (Switch) and will not charge your account until your goods are shipped.

Prices and Payment

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling, as marked. The prices include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate, unless otherwise specified. Any delivery charges are specified. Payment may be made by debit or credit card online via our payment facility.. All goods shall remain the property of CGS LLP until payment has been received in full. Your credit card will not be charged until the goods ordered have been confirmed and allocated.
